How do I get to Levi's Stadium?

The Game Plan
Welcome to San Francisco Stadium, where 70,000 fans will discover what happens when Silicon Valley's innovation obsession collides with the beautiful game. This isn't just one of the most sustainable venues in the World Cup: it's an amphitheater where fans sit closer to the action than physics should allow, where Dungeness crab sandwiches are tracked via a stadium app, and where the herbs in your meal were growing 100 feet overhead just yesterday.
The Bay Area brings its own kind of magic to these six matches, as this is a region that's been playing organized soccer since 1902. And while it might have a white collar reputation, don’t sleep on the fact that Silicon Valley’s population is 41% immigrants, many of whom brought their passion for soccer (and enormous brains) along with them when they came to California.
SEATING GUIDE
LOWER BOWL
Welcome to the NFL's largest lower bowl, where the spectacle of 45,000 seats crushing down on the pitch is even more impressive when you consider that the first row is a mere 10 feet from the field. The retractable bleachers installed for World Cup play will bring you even closer to the action. West-side sections catch shade from the suite tower during afternoon matches, while East-siders get the full California sun experience..
CHAMPIONS CLUB & LEVI'S 501 CLUB
The Champions Club spans the entire west sideline with field-level suites and club access, while the 501 Club on the east offers what some locals call the "sweet spot": premium amenities without the corporate stuffiness. Both feature climate-controlled lounges where you can debate VAR decisions in air-conditioned comfort while sampling fare from the Faithful Farm operation that’s literally above your head.
SUITE TOWER
All 174 luxury suites stack in a four-story glass tower that looks more Palo Alto office park than NFL stadium. This architectural quirk means zero suites obstruct views from regular seats, aka democracy through design. Grab a ticket here if you dream of watching the World Cup with your favorite tech exec.
UPPER LEVEL
Levi’s only has upper deck seating on the east side, creating an asymmetrical design. Sections 401-408 and 415-422 purportedly offer panoramic views perfect for soccer's wide play, And even up this high, the steep rake means you still feel closer to the action than in traditional upper decks..
AROUND THE STADIUM
Pregame Plan: This brand-new 18,000-square-foot venue sits just a 10-minute walk away at 2221 Tasman Drive. With 20+ beers on tap, fire pits, lawn games, and live music, it's purpose-built for pre-game culture. The outdoor plaza holds 1,000+ fans who treat every match like a Silicon Valley networking event, complete with authentic talismanic chanting.
.
Lawrence Expressway Corridor: Just 2 miles from the stadium along Lawrence Expressway, the strip of restaurants and bars that makes up Santa Clara’s Koreatown serves the tech workforce's nocturnal habits. Rice Junky, with its robot server and K-pop soundtrack, stays open until midnight, while Seorai does Korean BBQ until 1a on weekends. Even if you shut it down you’ll still have time to belt out a few karaoke tracks at The Magpie & Tiger Remember..
WHAT TO EAT AND DRINK
Levi's Stadium elevates stadium food through Bay Area partnerships and that rooftop farm. The Dungeness crab sandwich at Crab Sammies reigns supreme: sweet local crab with zero filler on sourdough that would make the ancient Egyptians proud (they invented sourdough!) Starbird from Sunnyvale brings Nashville hot chicken to NorCal along with their signature Star Sauce, while The Chairman's pork belly bao proves that street food belongs in stadiums. Slice House by Tony G's serves a “Bootlegger" pizza that’s loaded with cup-n-char pepperoni, sausage, and bacon and sauced with a tomato-vodka combo, flavors that helped them win multiple international pizza competitions. But the real revelation? Ingredients from the Faithful Farm appear throughout premium menus. Your caprese salad's basil was growing in sunshine 100 feet above just days ago. The Tap Room at midfield pours 40+ beers, including exclusive Bay Area craft selections, while taps flow with Napa reds and Sonoma whites.
TRAVEL TIPS
- Public Transportation: The Orange Line stops at Great America Station, a 5-to-10 minute walk to the stadium. From San Francisco, budget about 90 minutes via Caltrain to Mountain View then VTA. The system works, but it's public transit, not a Tesla.
- Air Travel: With SJC located just 6 miles from the stadium, take VTA's Airport Flyer to Metro/Airport Station, then Orange Line to the stadium. Total time: 42-50 minutes for $2.50. It's the best-kept secret for avoiding surge pricing.
- Parking: More than 20,000 spaces exist within a mile of the stadium, but expect $40-85 for pre-purchased passes (possibly even more for World Cup.) Many nearby Santa Clara businesses offer $30-50 private lots with faster exits than official parking. Just follow the hand-painted signs and trust the process.
FUN FACTS
Farm Facts: During the World Cup, Faithful Farm plans to plant herbs from each participating nation (Brazilian peppers, German thyme, Japanese shiso…) turning the roof into an edible United Nations.
Great America Bonus: The nearby theme park shares the VTA station, meaning you can ride the Gold Striker wooden coaster with your kids before watching somebody’s golden generation prove themselves on the pitch.
Tech It Up: The stadium's app uses 2,000+ Bluetooth beacons for turn-by-turn navigation to your seat, the nearest Dungeness crab sandwich, or the shortest bathroom line.
